Pharaoh - Demo CD

3-man band fresh outta North Jersey. Pharaoh plays heavy, HEAVY doom metal. Catchy riffs and crushing bass lines, not to be cliche. I caught them on a little tour they were doing two months ago and picked up this demo. A dude from The Banner also fronts guitar. For fans of: Eyehategod, Cursed, Muk. The pokemon.

WIlco - Being There

19 ethereal tracks recorded in 1996. I've been falling asleep to "Far, Far Away" for some time now. For fans of: calmness.

Sleep - Holy Mountain

You've probably all heard of Sleep by now, but if not... well here ya go. Sleep is a fusion of psychedelic rock with elements of drone/doom metal. Really awesome stuff here. Oh, you're welcome, George.

Right Brigade - Self Titled

Right Brigade is another band that is overlooked by many, and in many cases, under-appreciated. Listen to what these dudes had to say. For fans of: Horror Show, Think I Care.

Sigur Rós & Hilmar Örn Hilmars - Live at the Barbican Hall. April 21, 2002

A set of recordings which feature 3 songs by Sigur Ros collaborating with the Hilmar Orn Orchestra in April seven years ago. The songs total up to 15 minutes of sheer relaxation. Enjoy.

Skin Like Iron - Self Titled

Skin Like Iron are from SF, and I can't even label the music they play. Sure, they have their solid roots in hardcore, but there is an experimental aspect in their music that makes listening to it that much more enjoyable. The first time I heard their demo I didn't like it at all. A year later, and I'm all over their releases. Check 'em out, their records are available in a shitload of online distros.

Integrity - VValpurgisnacht

The newest recordings from legendary Cleveland hardcore band, Integrity. This 2 song EP proves that Integrity never lost their touch. Uploaded this because I feel that it didn't get the recognition it deserved. Order the 2nd press of the 7" at A389recordings.com

Desperate Measures - It's On Your Hands

This needed to be uploaded. Desperate Measures is incredibly overlooked and deserve to be heard by everyone that listens to hardcore music. Check out their surprise set at TIH on hate5six.com. For fans of: Stop and Think, measures that are desperate.

Cold Cave - Edsel and Ruby

Call me trendy, I don't give a shit. Cold Cave has not left my iTunes weekly rotation for a month. Cold Cave plays catchy trance/electronic 80's era pop. This is a 3 song 7" they put out preceding the release of the "Love Comes Close" LP. Oh, Wes is in this band too. For fans of: The Cure, hallucinogenics.

Horror Show - Our Design

A band that needs no introduction, but I'll do it anyway. Horror Show was from Philadelphia and broke up in 2005. I've been jamming this album lately and decided to up it to pass on the good vibrations. For fans of: American Nightmare, sleepless nights.

Rot In Hell - Demo 2007

Dark, fast hardcore from the U.K. Posting the demo so you get a taste of what they are. I suggest checking out their newest release, Hallways of the Allways. For fans of: Integrity, holy terror, hate.

Mindset - R E A L P O W E R

Straight edge hardcore from Maryland. If you haven't heard these guys, they are definitely worth checking out. One of the best bands running in hardcore this year, and one of my favorite releases as well. For fans of Side By Side, Chain of Strength, the edge.

Just started this.

1 in the morning. No one's listening. Whatever. This is going to be a music/media blog. Hopefully this goes somewhere.
